Edmond Robinson, Jr. is a linebacker from Wadmalaw Island, SC. He attended St. John's high school where he played football and basketball.  After high school, Edmond continued his education

at Newberry College.

​In 2013, he was named All-South Atlantic Conference First-Team with 69 total tackles, 2.5 sacks, one forced fumbled and one interception. In 2014, Edmond was Newberry's leading tackler of the season with 68 tackles, five pass breakups and two fumble recoveries. He completed his college career with 200 tackles, 137 solo tackles, 2.5 sacks, two interceptions, two forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. Edmond graduated in 2014 with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. 

The Minnesota Vikings selected Robinson in the 7th round of the 2015 NFL Draft. Going 232nd overall, he was the first NCAA Division II player to be selected in that draft and the first Newberry alum to be drafted since 1974. Robinson continued his professional career with the New York Jets, Arizona Cardinals, Arizona Hotshots, Houston Roughnecks. In March of 2020, Robinson agreed to terms with the Atlanta Falcons where he had 15 combined tackles and 1 QB hit. More Recently Edmond Robinson Jr. has played with the Seattle Seahawks in 2022 and has become an XFL champion with the Arlington Renegades in 2023.
